Big Kitty in the Big City: Cabaret

Amy Ackerman’s debut cabaret exploring body liberation features songs and personal stories chronicling their experience as a Big Kitty in the Big City. From cat calls to last calls, there’s a song for that! An evening of song, celebration, and fat queer reclamation of the beloved canon.

A Big Kitty In The Big City is available for bookings at performance venues, colleges and universities, and high schools. The cabaret addresses fatphobia, transphobia, and body positivity with tons of cat puns. MEOW!

Amy Ackerman: Big Kitty in the Big City

Time Out says Ackerman’s solo cabaret set is an autobiographical collection that approaches pop and musical-theater favorites from a “body paws-itive” perspective. Kristin Rose Kelly directs, and Lance Horne is at the keys.
