Swollen Tongues

 by Kathleen Oliver

Directed by Kristin Rose Kelly

Swollen Tongues is a fast paced modern restoration comedy written in rhyming couplets. The characters are challenged to find the true meaning and expression of love through poetry. Once each character finds their poetic voice, they seem to be able to know what and who they want. The play explores humorously mistaken identity, gender roles and performance, sexual fluidity, and consent and intention.
